The Virtual Tours - Glenturret Distillery

Glenturret Distillery - The Marrying House

The 'Marrying House' is where the spirit is being put into the casks. You can just see how the cask ends are being prepared with the date, cask number and distillery logo. The modern entrance is the entrance to 'The Famous Grouse Experience', a modern multimedia show which follows after the more traditional distillery tour through the distillery. Following the path up you can see the statue of Towser, the famous mouser of the distillery. Towser was made immortal because he is listed in the Guiness Book of World Records for catching 28899 mice. From this point-of-view you can go to the back or the entrance.

HELP - If the virtual tours are not showing up, you most likely not have the Java Runtime Environment installed. This is available for all operating systems (such as Windows, Macintosh, Linux) from this website. After you installed this the tours should work without problems. The virtual tours themselves are easy to use. Using your right mouse button you can drag around in the window to look around. If you use the left mouse-button, you can use the SHIFT key while pressing the left mouse button to zoom in, and the CTRL key with pressing the left mouse button to zoom out again. You can alternatively use the controls on the bottom right of each virtual tour to navigate around.
